CANMARC’s last unit issue was on September 13, 2011. On that day, following  the exercise of the over-allotment option granted to CANMARC's underwriters, CANMARC issued an additionnal 825,000 units at a price of $11.50 per units, resulting in a total of 3,325,000 units being issued on that day for gross proceeds for the REIT of approximately $38,237,500. 

The date of CANMARC’s initial public offering of units was May 25, 2010. On that day, CANMARC issued 16,000,000 units at a unit price of $10.00, for gross proceeds of approximately $160 million and an initial cash yield of 9.5% per annum. On June 24, 2010, following the exercise of the over-allotment option granted to CANMARC’s underwriters, CANMARC issued an additional 651,560 units for gross proceeds of approximately $6.5 million.

CANMARC intends to pay stable and growing monthly cash distributions to unitholders. To that end, it adopted a distribution policy pursuant to which it makes monthly cash distributions equal to, on an annual basis, approximately 90% of adjusted funds from operations.

All holders of CANMARC’s units resident in Canada may participate in CANMARC’s DRIP. Unitholders resident outside of Canada are not entitled to participate in the DRIP.

Holders of CANMARC’s units resident in Canada may participate in the DRIP either by contacting their securities broker or dealer, their bank or their trust company, depending on the intermediary through which they own CANMARC’s units or, if they own CANMARC’s units without any intermediary, by contacting our transfer agent CIBC Mellon Trust, and instructing such person to take all actions necessary to permit them to participate in the DRIP.

Pursuant to the DRIP, cash distributions are reinvested in additional units of CANMARC at a price per unit calculated by reference to the weighted average of the closing price of CANMARC’s units on the Toronto Stock Exchange for the five trading days immediately preceding the relevant distribution date.
